Welcome to the Vital Signs Assessment Course designed to help the staff get an accurate, documented vital signs for the entire chain of health care.
Vital signs are an important component of patient care. They determine which treatment protocols to follow, provide critical information needed to make life-saving decisions, and confirm feedback on treatments performed.
Upon completion of the module, the participants should be able to:
- Provide standardized guidelines of recording and documenting vital signs/ observations.
- Define responsibilities of staff pertaining to vital signs monitoring.
- Define criteria for monitoring vital signs.
- Discuss the policy applies to all staff involved in monitoring vital signs.
